Comparing Jimmy to Johnny Carson

Alot of us are reflecting this week on how we enjoyed Johnny Carson. Next to Jimmy Buffett, Mr. Carson was my favorite entertainer. JB was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson a few times & Johnny always seemed to enjoy Jimmy's performance. Just a few comparisons to get the fellow Parrottheads thinking about their similarities:
1. Both like sailing.
2. Like Johnny Carson, Jimmy Buffett has a strong work ethic & a commitment toward making sure the audience is entertained.
3. Both seem to live for the performance and enjoy entertaining their audience.
3. While JB may not be as private as Mr. Carson, Jimmy isn't seen out alot with the media unless he's promoting a book, album, manatees. Johnny would be seen at Wimbledon every year.
4. Both have good looking blonde wives?
5. Both Very savvy businessmen.
6. Comparing sidekicks, Ed McMahon to Mike Utley. Doc Severenson to Fingers Taylor/Mac McAnally. Tommy Newsom to Doyle Grisham? Heather Locklear to Amy Lee/Tina Gullickson?
7. Many more but I'm out of beer & I want to hear what the others say.
The BIG question is: When Jimmy reaches that One Particular Harbor, will he fade away like Johnny? Johnny sure left alot of us wanting to see him more after May of 1992. Don't think JB will do that because alot of Margaritavilles & CIPs will go out of business & his estate won't make as much money.
