Question about Myrtle Beach?

Hey everybody! I am working on planning a summer vacation this year and can get a pretty good deal at the Sands Ocean Forest Villa in Myrtle Beach. Does anybody know anything about this resort? Is it a nice resort? Is it close to everything? How far from Margaritaville? Is it within walking distance of things to do? Or do you have any other suggestions for hotels in Myrtle Beach? I am also thinking about Charleston but I will be driving from Baltimore with my 4 year old keet. Thanks.

If it's on the beach you are no more than 5-10 mins from Margaritaville. And if you want to go to Charleston, it's about 2 hr drive straight down rte 17 ( I think). I know the drive is nice and it's a straight shot. The MD margaritaville is great. I love the Hurricane, and the live music every night.

Thanks. I've already checked out their website. I just figured some of the world travelers here may have stayed there or knew something about it. I know their website is only going to tell me the good things so I wanted a few other opions. It seems to be a very cheap rate which is what concerns me. $1200 for 7 nights in a 2 bedroom ocean view villa.

The rate seems very reasonable...how about checking out the Embassy Suites Kingston Plantation...very nice property, and the rates seem to be in line with what you are looking at...
