I haven't been able to keep up with BN due to recent events. Has there been any concrete news, or rumors, about the next album? What's the title, when is it going to be released? I know the tour is the ASPOL tour is that the album title as well??

No news of a new album. ASPOL the book comes with ASPOL the one song CD, and Jimmy contributed a song to a compilation project that name's escapes me right now, but other than that, not much.

that would be "An Attitude of Gratitude"
He also has a swingin' little duet called "Barstool Boogie" on Dan Hick's newest cd not to mention a guest appearance on Nanci Griffith's upcoming cd.
As for a new cd from Jimmy, man I'll bet that'll be quite a while away.

I doubt it. The Jimmy commercial empire demands new material to sell on a very regular basis. It won't be long.

Goodness! Give the guy a little time!
It's not like he's sitting around goofing
off, and it takes a lot of work to come
up with a new album! If you didn't
have to work to pay your bills, would
you kill yourself catering to a bunch of
impatient people?

A Part of me thinks your right but then this voice says Jimmy's alway's threatened to quit and what better way than on your sixtyth BDay
Christmas 2006.
Then he could not cut anything else and it would always be said
"His last album a smash charting #1 on Billboard and rendering several country hit singles!"

Commercial radio would finally have to warm up to Jimmy Buffett to validate the "several" part of this statement.

I thought "Hey Good Looking" and "Trip Around the Sun" had both charted and he was about to release "Peice of work"

Still though Margaritivle is his only top ten single right? I don't mean country or adult contempary I mean hit single on the main Billboard singles chart
I know fins, survive, chesseburger, if the phone dosen't ring its me, and come monday all charted somewhere anyway.

Where could you find facts and figures like how many each album sold,
what singles charted ect....?

I think he will have something out by next spring, especially since there was alot of stuff kept off of license to chill. Infact the new record will probably have that song with books and dunn that he recorded.

HGL was a big hit, but TATS stalled in the 20s. And we've yet to see if commercial radio will embrace POW. So, really, only one big hit has come off this album. Doesn't make it any less good, just not a big radio hit album.

I see your point but still it was number one on billboard beating out
Usher and many other younger "hotter" acts.

Not even Changes in Latatuide did that

I'm not arguing that it's not a hit album, it just hasn't produced too many hit singles.
