Buffett In Camden?!?!?!

Post by Snake »

Jersey and Philly ParrotHeads,

I heard another rumor this weekend that Jimmy will by pass Camden this year and that the closest concert to us may be in the New England area.

Please tell me that someone can dispell this rumor quickly and definitively. PAPAR 8 I read your rumor about "The Linc," are you still hearing those rumors or no?

I was hearing he'd play Citizen's Bank Park, and that was from 2 different, pretty good sources.

As I look at the Phillies schedule for the summer, not a lot of holes (assuming he needs a 6 day window to set up and tear down). It might be August, but that is nothing more than a guess.

My guess (if he does play Citizen's Bank) that it will either be around June 14-20 (this is close to the time he is rumored to play at PNC in Pittsburgh) or Aug 22-early September (leading up to when he is suppose to play at Wrigley). These are the longest breaks the Phillies have in the their schedule.

so far, no Camden (rumors flying), no Irvine (could happen), no Great Woods (rumors say Gillette).....

if all true, what a weird tour it's turning out to be.......

I Have also heard a rumor about Citizen's Bank Park.

My sister works for Aramark, I will try to confirm anything with her, as they handle concessions for CBP.

What a weird tour is right!!! I don't understand why he is playing these stadium shows. Besides for the increase in revenue what is the appeal? Jimmy belongs outside in an Amphitheater during the summer months.

I only pray that these are all just rumors and he is going to play Camden and Nissan so I can get my annual 2 Buffett Summer Shows.

Here is to hoping...Phins Up!!!!!!!

where is citizen's bank park? is that in nj or pa ???

maybe he is playing larger venues because of him getting on in years and those venues seat more=more $$$ and then he doesn't have to do all the smaller venues. this may be his way of starting to gear up for smaller tours and then retirement (say isn't so) of some sort.

yeah, i'm a glass half empty kinda gal. sorry.

That could be telling, but doesn't Jimmy usually take July off? I'll go see PM anytime. Where is he playing?

Camden was late June last year (June 29?), and Alpine was July 10. By late mid/July, Jimmy's usually on summer vacation

Interesting, because the Phillies will be on the road from July 25 through August 1. I didn't include these dates because Jimmy usually doesn't play in late July anymore, but then again there seems to be more then just a few changes this summer.

If PM is playing in NJ on July 24th, that may be a good sign that the JB show is later that week!!!

As for Citizen's Bank Park... It may turn out to be a pretty good place for a concert. Ther p-lots are huge and they let Eagles tailgators stay over the night before, so there shouldn't be a problem tailgating. The food is pretty good inside the venue at Ashburn Alley, and the sight lines are good (at least for baseball).

The food is absolutely amazing at Citizens Bank, especially out beyond the outfield in that sort of food court area.
