Well I finally made it over to M-ville at the beach. About time, I only live 100 miles from it.

I must say, it's pretty cool. Very big and expensive. Nice view of the water (lake). Nice "boat" theme" throughout. The hurricane/blender was neat. I signed a dollar bill and put it over the bar along with a few hundred others. Of the 3 that I've been to (KW, Orlando, MB) I'd have to put it at the bottom of the three though. Only because KW was the first and original and because Orlando was bigger and I loved the volcano thing. Still, a must see for any parrothead. I also drove by the CIP a few miles down the road. Didn't go in but the outside looked pretty cool. Does anyone know how the theme on the inside of CIP is. In other words, is it totally centered around Jimmy or does it just drop a few hints here and there?

Haven't been there yet. The 'keet and I are planning a "road trip", which includes Myrtle Beach during his spring break...and we plan on stopping in at both M-ville and CIP.

Hi Bananaman...I finally made it to both Margaritaville and CIP in Myrtle Beach 2 weekends ago and had a great time in both! Fri. and Sat. nights the Caribbean Cowboys were playing at the CIP and did a phantastic job. The decor theme of the restaurant is a"tropical paradise" with caribbean colors on the walls, large murals of tropical fish, a large palm tree over the bar, etc. The mood is definately set...during the band breaks lots of Buffett played on the house music system.
The Margaritaville was fun also...we sat at the bow of a boat to eat. I had a delicious bowl of Crab and Corn chowder soup. We browsed around the store and checked it all out. I'm looking forward to going back soon...

First of all, not to diss you or anything, why is Orlando better? To me, Myrtle Beach MVille has a better design to it, and bigger store. As for CIP Myrtle goes...the inside is very much Jimmy. Tropical themed throughout with a wonderful Tiki bar. You should have gone to CIP too. I also would like to note that there seems to be a "hidden" type of competition between Margaritaville and Cheeseburger In Paradise. One of the several times I have eaten at CIP, I wore a Margaritaville, Myrtle Beach shirt there. When the bartender saw my shirt he just laughed and said "We're much better, don't you think?"

The Best thing about M'ville? They are not cookie cutter stores, They are all different and unique. Unlike McD's or BK whick have the same style, M'ville is totally different at each location.

Looking forward to checking out Margaritaville Myrtle Beach and Cheeseburger in Paradise when I'm down there later this month. I do hope the weather is cooperative that weekend.

I passed by the one in Orlando on my way to Halloween Horror Night at Universal (which sucked). We were leaving at 11pm or so...we had to drive back to jville the same night. We didn't go in....

...My Hunny isn't a Parrothead...He is a gear head and a workaholic...I am still mad about that night...he made me walk right past it and onto the boat...maybe I won't pack his lunch tonight just to get a dig in...
