I really don't think they would cancel on the day of - but if they do - like I said on the Tampa thread - maybe Jimmy would play in my backyard - we would all fit (well at least BN'ers
Will there be a Tampa concert?

They had time to make the changes - it's all about $$$$$ and the less they spend the better - they should have known better and done it right the first time - ClearChannel is not one of my fav to begin with.

) ...... or maybe the Plant City Softball Stadium -.. but seeing as they set up day or two before..... I am praying for the best! I can just hear Jimmy singing real quietly... and saying shhhhhhhhh.... people on the lawn need to whisper when you say Let's Get Drunk and Screw!!!!

I agree - the meeting will probably announce something like "no further concerts will be scheduled until the problem is fixed " . . that way everyone is happy.
BTW - Gulfbreeze, I think we are probably neighbors ! I live in Gulfport . . . are you familiar with it ?
and yes, the Balcony Girls will be at the Tampa show

I went to venue in CA one time to see 38 Special and the Marshall Tucker Band....this site had similar compaints from neighbors about noise levels and they were ordered right before this show to keep the decibel level very low (there was a specific number...I just can't remember what it was).mermaidindisguise wrote:I can just hear Jimmy singing real quietly... and saying shhhhhhhhh.... people on the lawn need to whisper when you say Let's Get Drunk and Screw!!!!
Anywho....it was the weirdest show in the world......you had to whisper to your friends nearby as talking would ruin the experience for others around you!
Needless to say....they didn't have too many more concerts there after this show!

Maybe he'll just do an accoustic show! How awesome would that be? He'd come out and just say "look we can't plug in the amps so if you came to hear all the standards, go get a refund. For those of you who decided to stay, just sit back and we'll put on a show for you like I used to do in the old days."

Y'all should tailgate at the courthouse in the morning and then if they cancel the show, move the parking lot to the neighborhood for the evening.
If the show goes on, I think Jimmy's first song should be "Quietly Making Noise" ...p***' off the old killjoys...not too soft, not too loud, just enought to draw a crowd, quietly, quietly, quietly making noise!

The show must go on

IMHO they should charge ol' Rose Milligan for the show since she gets to hear it for free OR tell her to take the batteries out of her hearing aid.

The hearing was originally scheduled for last month but was postponed. Postponed long enough to allow the Hank Jr. concert and the State Fair concert series.
I'd say that the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission and the neighbors must have some clout to get a judge to schedule a Saturday hearing.
They're asking the judge to stop outdoor concerts because of noise violations. Unfortunately for ticketholders, I don't think that the judge is able to consider the cost and inconvenience to visiting concert-goers or the bad PR for Tampa.
Ticketmaster has already been paid and I'm sure that Jimmy's contract will get him paid. Clear Channel probably has insurance to cover their costs if the concert is cancelled or postponed. Nobody will be out anything except the fans.
Sunny Jim and Jim Morris are playing in Ft. Lauderdale that night.

How cool would it be if this show gets canned and JB decides to crash their party just because?Elrod wrote:Sunny Jim and Jim Morris are playing in Ft. Lauderdale that night.
