I'd like to think the city and county would be smarter than to shut the place down the day of a concert. Lots of p*ssed off people in town raises the real possibility of trouble.....The February 26th court date Campbell mentioned, is the same day the Jimmy Buffett concert is scheduled at the Ford Amphitheatre. A judge is scheduled to hear the matter at 9 a.m. The concert is scheduled for 8 p.m.
So if you're thinking about going to that concert, it may not happen if a judge shuts down the amphitheatre until they fix an on-going noise problem.
i just booked mine.it better happen.355.00 to fly into orlando and out of tampa on a sunday night.how could they sell tickets to a show or any show if they have a problem like this.SchoolGirlHeart wrote:and I might even think about writing to the chamber of commerce, or something, noting that I (and probably several hundreds or thousands of others) will never set foot in Tampa again to spend one single tourist dime if the county is stupid enough to cancel a concert with absolutely no notice.
tell you what... this is seriously making me reevaluate whether I want to risk spending money on a plane ticket and hotel for a concert that may not happen.....
Do you think they might get the message when one VERY ANGRY BEG from Cali hands them a bill to pay for her plane ticket, lodging and grief?SchoolGirlHeart wrote:and I might even think about writing to the chamber of commerce, or something, noting that I (and probably several hundreds or thousands of others) will never set foot in Tampa again to spend one single tourist dime if the county is stupid enough to cancel a concert with absolutely no notice.

No, let's take them to the Waffle House and let them spend the night at Motel 6!marc wrote:if its the neighbors of the theater causeing this, i say we all chip in a few bucks and rent them a bus and send them off to a day of shopping at one fl's finest outlet malls and end their evening with fine dinning at a cracker barrel

THINKING ABOUT THIS , IF THE HAD A PROBLEM IN THE PAST,WOULDN'T YOU THINK THEY WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE BOOKING MORE CONCERTS.COMMON SENSE WOLD SAY YES.2ND OF ALL THE PROMOTERS IF THEY ARE SMART ENOUGH WOULD REALIZE THAT BUFFETT CROWDS COME FROM ALL PARTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND BEYOND.IT'S NOT YOU TYPICAL CONCERT WERE MOST TICKETS ARE BOUGHT LOCALLY.3RD AND THIS IS A QUESTION.WHAT CAN BUFFETT DO,AS FAR HAS CANCEALING THE SHOW?MOVING THE SHOW TO ANOTHER LOCATION LIKE RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM OR THE CITRUS BOWL IN ORLANDO?OR RESCHEDULING ANOTHER DATE WHEN THE PROBLEM IS FIXED.THE PROBLEM WITH ANOTHER DATE IS PEOPLE THAT HAVE PURCHASED AIRLINE TICKETS.MOST ARE NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.AIRLINE TICKETS WERE HIGH ENOUGH WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY EXTRA TO MAKE IT REFUNDABLEhoneysucklevine wrote:All I know is, if they think those other concerts were loud, they got a big surprise coming. They aint heard nothing yet, wait until we get there.

Official word was because of rain, but I've been soaked at an Atlanta show. Rumor was that the show was postponed because it was the same night as Game 7 in the division playoffs.tequilatom wrote:ANOTHER WORDS SOL.WAS THAT DUE TO WEATHER OR WAS IT THE SIMILAR PROBLEM?WELL I GUESS I BETTER PACK MY GOLF CLUBS FOR AN ALTERNATE PLAN.OR ESPN AT DISNEY IS THAT WEEKENDland_shark3 wrote:Ask the folks who had flights booked for San Diego last year.tequilatom wrote:THE PROBLEM WITH ANOTHER DATE IS PEOPLE THAT HAVE PURCHASED AIRLINE TICKETS.MOST ARE NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.AIRLINE TICKETS WERE HIGH ENOUGH WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY EXTRA TO MAKE IT REFUNDABLE
