The show use to always be around July 4th, but I guess not this year with speculation of that time being at Boston. We'll see.

He's only done the 4th of July weekend at Nissan the last 2 years. It was mostly mid-June before that and September in '01. But I'm anxiously awaiting news for this year. I'll be there. :D :pirate:

Nissan is only abot 15-20 minutes outside of Fairfax - no problem finding hotels around. His shows have always been good at Nissan, my only complaint is they changed the parking around in '02. Had all the RV's & buses lined up on the pavement drive that goes around the grass field used for parking 3 across so you smelled diesel fumes all day & couldn't open your canopies or cook next to the RV.

The VT gang stayed in Manasas and got a special rate at the Red Roof. The only problem with it is there was no pool - I think the rooms were around 80. Some of the gang talked about the possibility of going somewhere that had a pool.

I would LOVE to be there but I have other priorities. Getting son off to school in Florida, moving to Washington, getting married - you know just the small stuff

The hotel across the street had a pool, but I'm trying to remember what hotel it was.

I've stayed at the Best Western Battlefield(?) a few times for the Nissan shows and they have a pretty nice pool there. And usually lots of Parrotheads doing some pre-pre partying before heading to the parking lot. It is right across the street from the RRI.
