We arrived on Friday night and it is very busy here (especially at Duke's). There is a big triathalon happening all weekend so traffic is nuts. The weather is perfect (couldn't ask for better) Duke's will be a great place to meet up (they are even handing out hand bills advertising Jimmy's concert) but make sure you come early it gets crazy busy later in the day.

Having a blast and counting down till concert day (and trying to pace ourselves, after all this is going to be the Party of the Year here).

Actually traffic is like that all the time. The triathalon had nothing to do with it guys. Waikiki traffic is always nuts. No worries though....just make sure you hit the after party at Tikis.....

UPDATE

We were at Duke's last night and Henry Kapono was playing (wow are they good) then suddenly Jimmy showed up and sang Margaritaville and then went back to his dinner. It was just awsome to see him up close - I took lots of pictures but all I got was the crowd. Jimmy looked like he was having a blast - the concert is going to be great!

things we've learned so far
1. Sunscreen is a good thing
2. Too many corona's are a bad thing (the next day)

Anyone in Hawaii...we urgently need your help for a critical mission!!!

DKD created an awesome pic of "Pope Jimmy" (see JB Discussion Pope thread - link below) and we need someone to get a poster-sized copy of it to the show so Jimmy can see it tomorrow night!!! (The color one with glasses is best.)

JB was laughing so hard at the "Jimmy for Pope" sign at SJ on Saturday...him seeing this pic during the next show would be awesome!!!

Someone...please...??? Download from here...Kinkos to print...get it to someone up front at the show...

Jimmy will love it!!!

Couldn't sleep - way too excited this is going to be the BIG DAY.
We will be meeting up with all the BN'rs at Dukes in about 4 hours - after that who knows and then.............and then............and then.........THE CONCERT on Waikiki Beach (how great is that)

more things we have learned:
1. If you don't have your flips flops on when walking on the beach your feet will start on fire

2. When you wear a Jimmy t-shirt you will meet more people than you can imagine

3. Too many Margarita's aren't much better than too many Corona's (the next day)

gotta go and hit the beach

I had a great time on my first ever trip to Hawaii. How could it not be fun? Hawaii, a Buffett concert a few days after my birthday and backstage passes courtesy of Heather Dee Perry.
