Buffett Bash

Post by Goodman »

I'm with Mandegi. It's time for a genuine Buffett Bash!.

We need to organize a party for Parrotheads but this time without a JB concert. Unless he wants to come and that's ok by me but he has to pay just like everybody else.
Now I'm an idea man, never been guilty of doing much manual labor. I think this is one helluva idea. Between the thousands of us posting/surfing here (my wife thinks it's just me and two other guys) we ought to be able to arrange one helluva BUFFETT BASH.

I'll bring the egg salad. :-)
I know Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett is a friend of mine. Son, you're no Jimmy Buffett!

man i am all for this, but shouldnt we arrange it where jimmy brings us all to mentally, the beach...i love colorado, but tis a bit far for paying hommage to the man who brings us music from the shores. what is better for everyone, the east coast, or west caost...i'm an east cost boy so that is my reccommendation and i say a couple weeks into september so we dont have to worry about places being over booked or a week or 2 into may.

Will there be people consuming beverages of an alcoholic nature at this "bash"? And what kind of "music" will be played? Do I need to wear a suit? How about curfew?

LDOL is a longstanding tradition. :D :D :D I'll be there! And this year, no wedding to interfere! Nothing worse than showing up to the party in heels and a dress!!!!

And doxadive...it's really a great party, even without a true beach...colorado is beautiful on Labor Day! One of the best times of year. And the host and hostess are most excellent!

What about somewhere on the Gulf Coast. There are beaches there and it's in the middle of the country, half way 'tween the left coast and the right coast. Where ever it is, though, I'm there. Always ready for a good party! I'll be in charge of the tequila (Margaritaville of course)!

I'm always up for a good party, anytime, anywhere. My only beef would be Labor Day weekend, that should be helluva time when Margaritaville meets Wrigleyville.

How about a PH cannonball run road trip. Picture dozens of cars driving across parts of the country all decorated including giant fins on top of cars and SUV's.

Drive during the day, hungover of course, and then drink all night.

In Florida

MOTM is one of the highlights that a PH must go to. And one day with a little luck, and a little cash, we're gonna make it to LDOL. But every once in a while a PHlocking will occure in Atlanta (or other place). Make sure you go :D
