2 week vacation

it has always been my dream to actually take a 2 week vacation, but i am coming up short of ideas. i have vacationed on the outer banks for the last 25 years and that is my first optoin but i am trying to think of somewhere else on the east coast that i can go for a couple weeks for about a grand a week in rental. i've done myrtle, isle of palms, virginia beach and wrightsville beach and i dont mind the drive but now with a 3 year old that can get kind of hairy so i am turing to my most trusted travel agents....YOU

Hey....whatever huge land mass you are on.....leave...go to another one...you have 2 weeks....even if you lose a day travel time each way that still leaves you with 14 FULL Days of vacation...if you live in America, leave...get the hell out....I could see staying here for one week...but not 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6.....ya gotta leave...

i have done the OBX and know it very well so it is the old stand by so i am looking for something possibly different. probably in the VA, NC, SC area. dont even want to think about the issue of leaving the country with a 3 year old, way too long of a process.

it's actually not all that hard, but in that case, consider the US Virgin Islands!

We traveled last summer to China with a 5 year old and a 2 year old.
Life is short, try something new and exotic.

The best two week vacation I ever had in my life was Alaska. During the summer of coarse!
Two weeks is about what you need in the least to vacation there as well.
So much to do. Mountain climbing, kayaking, some of the best fishing I'v ever done, Lots of hikeing. If you are really in for some fun try camping on Kodiak Island for three days
Towns of intrest would be Jueno, Ankorage, and Fairbanks.
