You can sometimes get Appleton Old Estate, but that is Jamaican, not Bajan, so we pretend it doesn't exist unless desperate!! And no ICE mixed only with chilled cola and key lime juice! Or on the rocks. It is allowed in a properly made yellowbird, like on Bequia. Let's have some standards here!
Are you referring me to being Mt. Gay??????????? :P :P :P :P

I love tequila but it makes me mean... I'd have to say beer and rum. It's tough to beat a good corona.
Fall semester in a Southern college town has little to do with studying and more to do with football and fraternity rush. I didn't know much about the football team. Hell at that time I was really an Ole Miss fan and to this day I still cant figure out why I didn’t enroll at the U of Mississippi-JB

Kinda the classic oxymoron...

I usually tell people that Corona bottles the downstream flow from the urinals at the Sauza tasting room.

Hmmm, how about you tell us what you like?? :D :D :D :D

That could eliminate a lot of extra guessing and speculation on our part.

Joni , Tequila is no more strong than most "hard" liquor
It has something in it that makes Me a very diffrent person
normaly I am a happy person a smile on my face

If I have more than 4 tequilas I want to fight and I'm very mean
and just don't care. for a while I thought it was just an age thing
as I got older I could "deal" better with the anger thing,
but two years ago I had too much, and my sister had to
keep me away from a cop that smarted off to me.. I went at him
and she stopped me.. So I have a Margarita or two and drink
beer, rum or my old friend Yukon Jack. and no one gets hurt.

BTW has anyone tasted the banana Rum from Cruzan????

MMMMMMMMM

Tequila doesn't usually exceed about 90 proof, or 45% alcohol by volume. Scotch usually rates out between 80-90, bourbon can come as high as 127 proof in some of the single-barrel, specialty lines. Vodka can be in the 80-110 range. Most brandies are topping off around 80 or so.

Tequila just gets its bad reputation from half-wit frat boys drinking shot after shot of 51% agave/49% sugarwater-based alcohol called mixto, and then going out and getting stupid until they fall on their face in puddle of their own...

Tequila comes in 4 types usually:

Silver: fresh from the distillery, clear, the product of fermented agave plants
Gold: almost fresh from the distillery, a bit of carmelized sugar added for colouring. (Mostly an American thing).
Reposada: taken from the vat, put in casks where it mellows and smoothens; stored for up to 6 months in most cases, then bottled.
Anejo: taken from the vat, put in casks, and stored between 6 months and 3 years, then bottled.

The best stuff on the market is 100% fermented agave distillation, aged as long as possible (anejo). Next best is the rested (reposado). There are good silvers (like Patron) using 100% fermented agave for the distillation. At the bottom of the heap are the mixtos in silver and gold that really do need the salt and lime to kill the harsh flavour.

1) Beer - Dark Lagers and Guiness in the Fall thru Spring. Corona and Straub in the Summer

2) Tequila - Cabo Wabo 100% Agave - The best Tequila I've ever tried!!! Ive gone through 5 bottles in 5 years. I only drink it strait.
Margaritaville Tequila I use for mixing Margaritas

3) Rum - Captain Morgans Spiced Rum - Parrot Bay Coconut Rum are my prefered but I don't know about others as much.

Beer wins for me. I just enjoy a cold brew. Tequila and Rum are tied when it comes to taste but I LOVE my Cabo Wabo!!!!
