I can't imagine never having seen the beach..... how does one live without the ocean?? really? :o :o

I was taken to the beach for the first time when I was about 2 months old, and I just can't imagine not being able to go the ocean and contemplate life......

Have you come to any conclusions yet as you contemplate? I know I haven't, but somehow it doesn't seem to really matter all that much on the beach...

just one.... pretty sure I couldn't live very far from the beach.... not unless I could hop on a plane any time I wanted and be on the beach in a couple of hours..... but I'd reather be living on the beach in a warm place....

and you're right, on the beach other things don't matter as much....

You find other things, other ways. I think I was 6 the first time I saw the Pacific, was about 10 when I saw the Gulf, and 35 seeing the Atlantic the first time.

The walks I take are around the housing edition that I live in. I make believe that it the beach. It is hard but I do it anyway. :)

Great - just keep thinking of those walks along the beach until then!
Hi Creeky and Joni,
Carolinagirl here (we haven't been formally introduced, but I enjoy reading your posts). Just wanted to make sure Creeky doesn't actually lead Joni to think that there are beaches worth walking on in Key West. ;) Well, I take that back, maybe Smathers Beach, but it's a short walk. It's great for snorkeling, but not wading, too mucky and seaweedy. We saw the beach at Casa Marina when we had last Thanksgiving dinner at Flaglers. It was PITIFUL! All rocks. Thank goodness there's so many other cool things to do in Key West. But Joni, I sympathize with you. I wish I had beach to walk on, too. Maybe I can hold out until the Jimmy Buffett concert in JAX in a couple weeks and take some walks on the sand then. Wish you could join us!

I wish that I could join you to I think that it would be so cool
to make a friend and just visit if the beaches are that bad. :)
