I wonder how this happened? I actually grew up in this small town and it's halfway between the Twin Cities and Fargo, ND pretty much in the middle of nowhere...and being in March, I know it's not going to be outside...Dang, if I would have delayed moving out of there by 20 years I could have gone....

An email "Review" from my sister of last nights gig in Alexandria...a tad out of the loop they... :D :D

"Hi,

Julie and I talked about the concert on Saturday. I said I thought I'd go by myself because I wasn't fully committed to leaving my house once I got home. She hadn't heard about it (the only ad was in Friday's paper). She called at work and asked if I was going and I said, "Sure, let's go." So, we went, looking for a back row location, although the church is set up in a "U" with only about 6 pews per section so there wasn't a bad seat in the place. After 3 chords she leaned over and said, "we're staying". So, the band started at 7:30, brief intermission - no one left - then they played until 10:10. We got our money's worth. I doubt, however, the cause made anything. The group was $4500. and anything over that went to Habitat for Humanity but judging by the number of people, they were lucky to get the group paid off.

Anyway, it was a great concert and I thank you for the tip."

Alex was halfway between the Cities and my folks' house in Crookston a few years back. And an ex-girlfriend's family had all sorts of connections there.

Interesting little town tho.

hey, i went to the show in alexandria. i made the road trip up with our parrothead club leader. we made it from egan,MN to alexandria in 1.5 hours. (we were flying up I-94)

the show was fantastic. when he played "musicbox" i turned to our club leader Rob Winters and said "that song was wortht the trip".

peter was very very nice, he drove 14 hours straight to get there. unbelievable. he took time to talk to everyone, even joind in the conga line! he signed all the autographs that were asked for, even wrote out an excuse for a boy for his school why he maby be late. lol what blew us away was the church was very small, i dont think i can sit more than 100 people. so it was a very cozy atmosphere. the word during the show was that they dont think they were going to break even with the show, which was too bad. i did not notice a collection basket for the chairaity either. we loved the show, its a must for any parrothead. good way to see how the reefers are like outside the band.

my pictures are posted on peters site, turned out great. i hope i did not burn out peters retinas !!

we are going to be looking into booking him for a club fundraiser in the future..
