I guess anyone who has a sense of humor and remembers how you got your panties twisted when someone had the audacity to list a CD that was released in the wrong year might have gotten the joke. In the future I'll include a humor alert in my posts.Jahfin wrote:No, the question was "What percentage of the population do you think are parrotheads?" If you want to talk about people that can't "follow directions" go get on those that can't seem to get the year right when I ask for a list of Favorite Albums of 2004 and someone tries to include an album from 2001 or when I start a thread about your Favorite Bands from the 90s and someone says the Beatles.LIPH wrote:That wasn't the question. Actually a broken record probably wouldn't play at all so I'm guessing you're referring to a skipping record.iuparrothead wrote:[vomit-break]Jahfin wrote:I'm also a longtime fan of the Grateful Dead but I don't consider myself a "Deadhead" either. For a group of fans that's supposed to be about expressing your individuality they all look and behave an awful lot alike to me. But to each their own, I refuse to be pigeoholed by referring to myself as either.iuparrothead wrote:I was wondering when he was going to come with that...Jahfin wrote:I'm a longtime Buffett fan but don't consider myself a "parrothead".
your broken record attitude gets so freakin' annoying
As for voicing my opinon on not being a parrothead, the last time I checked I never saw any rules prohibiting me from doing so. I was a fan of Jimmy Buffett's long before that term came into vogue and I still am, I've just never been particularly fond of limiting myself to being a fan of any one group. If you like to, fine but I have a much broader view of music than that.
If you go back and look at the thread in question you will see where it was DsilCaribe who got his "panties twisted" when he found out he couldn't include an album from 2001 in a list of favorites from 2004. I can't help it if some of you have only one way of looking at things.LIPH wrote:I guess anyone who has a sense of humor and remembers how you got your panties twisted when someone had the audacity to list a CD that was released in the wrong year might have gotten the joke.
