What percentage of the population do you think are parrotheads? ( Real parrotheads- not part-timers)
I'm thinking about 1 in 10.
It never ceases to amaze me how in any given circumstance when I mention my PH leanings in a group how another Bubba fan (or two) is usually always there> eyes wide open, that crazed euphoric "whatever it takes to get to the next concert" look, all of it.... A thing of beauty!
We seem to ride beneath the radar until another of our own it revealed- then lookout! Try it anywhere- in a bar, football game, church picnic. It usually works.
PHins uP!

OK.....so maybe 1 in 10 might be just a little over stated...

No matter where I go, I always end up seeing someone wearing or driving something with a reference to JB on it - a tshirt or sweatshirt, a bumper sticker or license plate frame...never fails. I'm in northern NJ, too, so we're a pretty eclectic bunch.
And doesn't even account for people who don't display any PH paraphernalia.

How about 1 in a 1000. Is that over doing it , or maybe close?

My company did a public event with the travel industry and I did a rough little survey from the stage and out of the 2000 people there about 20 had strong PH leanings.
So roughly 1 out of 100 in that group.

Yeathink she's about right too. Then, of course, we live in NW Tennessee. The closer to an ocean, the more Buffett people. It is that way in NE FLA anyway...

I'm a longtime Buffett fan but don't consider myself a "parrothead".

I was wondering when he was going to come with that...

I'm also a longtime fan of the Grateful Dead but I don't consider myself a "Deadhead" either. For a group of fans that's supposed to be about expressing your individuality they all look and behave an awful lot alike to me. But to each their own, I refuse to be pigeoholed by referring to myself as either.

That wasn't the question. Can't you follow simple directions?

Considering the different concentrations in certain areas, nationwide I'd say 1 in 200 or even 300 for the "non part-timers"

No, the question was "What percentage of the population do you think are parrotheads?" I was merely clarifying the fact that I while I'm a fan of Buffett's music that doesn't necessarily make me a "parrothead". If you want to talk about people that can't "follow directions" go get on those that can't seem to get the year right when I ask for a list of Favorite Albums of 2004 and someone tries to include an album from 2001 or when I start a thread about your Favorite Bands from the 90s and someone says the Beatles.

Oh, I'm quite fine, thank you. It's the others that need to lighten up (or
light up even). They take this parrothead business far too seriously.
