I haven't thought about baseball in a while, until I came across this article this morning. I really hate Barry Bonds

Of course Kerry never lived up to the hype. People were calling him the greatest pitcher of all time when he was 20 years old!!!! That's tough to live up to...

Actually, I think the pitching staff will take a jump forward this year, especially Bonderman and Maroth. I think JB wins 16.

Has he ever had a year where he was not on the DL?

Actually, both 2002 and 2003 he managed to stay healthy. He had 65 combined starts those 2 years.

I saw Mark Prior briefy at JB's October Vegas show. I coached him when he was 12 & 13 years old. He had a very determined look in his eyes (coulda been the booze  ). I agree with Cubbie...watch for Prior to bust out this year. However I also think that San Diego's Jake PEavy will have a monster year as well. Would not surprise me if they both are candidates for the Cy Young this year.

Something as simple as new trainers could mean less nagging injuries. They both have too much talent to be .500 pitchers.

peavy is OK, if you like THAT kind of pitcher

The kind with a 2.24 ERA? Peavy throws in the 90's and keeps hitters off balance and is not afraid to throw inside. Bonds has stated several times that he thinks he has the dirtiest stuff in the NL
