Seems both teams have to play with the same umpires. I guess blaming the umpires when your team loses is being taken to another level, globally. SO, if the RSox had better... nevermind.
That might have been a good comeback if I was serious hence the smile after the link

I put my smiley at the end too, so yes, I noticed.
WSox up 3-1, things are looking pretty good. I remember the RSox comeback from last year, so I'm counting anything as a done deal right now.

Fair enough.

And FYI I never blamed the umpires for the Red Sox losing, they lost because they played like crap and the White Sox played great. I just thought that article was funny.
I have been doubting the White Sox all season but maybe this is their year. They are getting all the breaks and playing great at the same time. A good combination this time of year.

LET'S GO REDBIRDS!!!!
WSox and Redbirds, do you think Tony L might like that?
That's what I'm hoping for!
On a side note, my hometown of Lebanon, IL is fifteen minutes outside of St. Louis, easily still in Cardinals Coutry. But White Sox reliever Neal Cotts is a hometown boy. I'm interested to see how divided the town would get if this series would happen.

Blech! Hard to believe ejecting a batter, especially.
Woooo hooooo....what a catch by T.
I think you have to go pretty far to toss out a star in Game 4, I think they are both at fault. I wish the umpires were a lot less visible in both the ALCS and NLCS, let's just play ball and allow the better team to win!

That ejection was complete *****. He tossed Edmonds REALLY quick. And the pitch that got LaRussa tossed was a ball, but when Edmonds was at bat, the same pitch was a strike. What a croc of s***
I have to agree with you there ILPH. Those were bad calls. I also have no idea why you sent Pujols in the 9th. Its not like he's Scott Podsednik or Chone Figgens or something like that. Was it possible that they should have pinch ran for him or something?

With Buehrle, Garcia, and Garland's complete game wins in the games 2, 3, and 4, a White Sox starter went the complete game for the win. When was the last time a team's starters got 3 consecutive complete game wins in the playoffs? Points for naming the team, year, and the pitchers.

Nope.
Game 1: Tom Seaver pitched a complete game, but they lost
Game 2: John Matlack CG Shutout
Game 3: Jerry Koosman CG -> 2 runs allowed in win
Game 4: George Stone starts, but is relieved by Tug McGraw, and then by Harry Parker, who got the loss.
Bad post season for MLB umpires....what was that strike 3 call against Edmonds...then toss him in a split second...WOW
Time for the public scrutiny to come down hard on theses guys...again!
