SEE I just don't hear that much of Jimmy in the new CD..

Old blue chair OK lone palm but KC focuses more on the chair and the memories than the spot.

Island Boy--- take your pick But it sounds like Jimmy, KC has
met this guy..

Let's face it there aren't really many original subjects for
songs.. there are only varitiations of any theme

I like KC.. Love him no. do I see myself flying across country
to see KC and Phlock??? No Unless some of those young female

UH nevermind..

Good point.
I play and have written quite a few "islandesque" songs and a couple of times long after I've written one I realized that the melody is very similar to a Jimmy song or perhaps someone else's.
I don't know if I did it by coincidence or maybe subconsciencely.
An example of this is that I finally finished writing a song about fishin' and then "Finally Friday" by George Jones comes on the radio the other day and I realize that I played my song and sang the melody the same way.
After a while you will eventually play/write something that sounds like something by someone else, especially if it's an island song. I also agree about only so many original subjects. For an island singer it's awful hard to touch on something that Jimmy has not already said.

I was thinking about this song I took some serious time writing

about being in love with some young lady and all the things we would do

as soon as I met her, Yep Like you said Travis Tritt already
has that one out..

Definitely Boston. Not because of Boston, but because I really want to meet this chick, and check out her baby dreds. Great song.
