I like "Shake Your Booty" and "Keep It Comin' Love". "Dancin' Shoes" wasn't bad either.
Oh wait, wrong KC. I don't think that this KC has anything that I would give a squirt of P*** for.

how on earth did you crack the parental controls?
Maybe you're a closet fan since every time that you post it's about Kenny.

From a JB interview, will try to find the link
Q: And now Kenny has recorded a beach album, last week's No. 1 Be As You Are, in which he tries to be you.
A: It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. The beach is free. As I said before, I was the first singer to go to Key West, but I certainly wasn't the first writer. As shameless plagiarists we all steal from everybody else; that's part of the process. I consider that a good thing. Hell, I stole from Harry Belafonte and Gordon Lightfoot and Joni Mitchell. ... It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it.

Of course, JB is fine with it. Even if he wasn't, I don't think that he would say so publicly. The biggest problem I have is that people want to annoint KC as the next Buffett when really he isn't even close. Buffett is a great songwriter and storyteller. While Chesney has penned some of his own music, a storyteller he is not. Buffett's material is more than just beach music and that is what alot of people fail to realize. Jimmy Buffett has always been Jimmy Buffett. He didn't become Jimmy Buffett halfway through his career which is what Kenny Chesney is trying to do. We can debate this all day long, but in the end, Chesney is nothing more than a cheap imitation.

Make that 74 posts. Kenny Chesney sucks.
I'm sorry that you are so easily impressed with inferior music.
And, MSU isn't #1!!!

I believe what happened is that KC had a life changing moment. He did not write many, if any, of his songs in the beginning. He did pick the songs that became 2 Gold, 2 Platinum, 1 Double Platinum, 2 Triple Platinum and 1 Quadruple Platinum selling albums. Give him some credit for that.
Then he had a chance to get away with the tons of money he stockpiled and ended up in the islands. Over his time spent there he penned the songs from his current album. All his own, all about the people and places he met and found in the islands. The atmosphere and lifestyle changed how he felt about his life, how to live and what songs to write.
No more, no less.
This is where he is with his life.
It has nothing to do with JB other than a similarity in style, which is shared with many songwriters and artist's these days.

I understand that KC is supposed to have a new cd out around November of this year? My question is how will that release be? Will it be "Island Music" or stuff like he has put out before? Will any of the songs be originals written by KC?

I think he will go back to what he was doing before with maybe 1-3 "islandesque" songs per cd.
I'm guessing he'll write a few songs on it now that he's done a whole album of originals.
