AWWWWWWWW.....jimolliemom, I wish I could've seen that Valentine's gift from James...how ca-ute! I'm getting five silver pinkie rings (that I picked out) and I don't have to cook. That's a gift that will always make me happy! Some of that KY warming stuff sounds pretty good... 8) 8) 8) No flowers....they're pretty but they just die and drop petals. OH! and I get CHOCOLATE!!! YUM

I didn't start this thread to depress anyone...HONEST!!! I buy my keets Valentines (it's the Teenage Boy I love the most and the little girl I love the most), I buy some goodies for my Mom. (Who, BTW, has been single since 1973!) I get treats for all those people I love. Not just the one who helped me create those cute kids. I bought him a Lucky Bamboo plant for his Tiki Bar.
"Mommy, when is Jimmy Buffett coming to OUR house? We go see him ALL THE TIME??" (Actual quote from my 5 y/o keet)

Since Eric and I are not together until Friday, I hid some gifts around his house the last time I was there. I sent him an e-card with our song on it and a poem indicating where to find the first gift...it was in the breadmaker. There were some chocolates and another poem to where the next gift was...in an envelope in the closet. That had a XOXO picture frame with a picture of us in it and another poem, indicating the next gift was behind his Vegas picture on his wall...there were some Valentine "Special" Lottery tickets and a note to the last gift..which was a GIANT card tucked between his mattress....He liked it a lot!!!! and it was a ton of fun!!!!! (Couldn't wait till tomorrow)... :D :D :D

My wife made me this really cool hat for the concert on this Thurs. It's a regular beachcomber hat with a parrot on top and a whole bunch of greenery mixed in and a lei wraped around the whole thing.

I took her to Outback.

We have to practice, doesn't that say nice things about us? And you know I'm kidding.

We (Sandals and I) found the magnetic poetry pick up lines edition while shopping on Saturday, that's going on our door on the cruise as a contest.

We ended up also going on a manhunt for grass skirts, which we got, then went out to dinner at Carrabas, which was fab... we split a chocolate dessert thing that was to DIE for.

Well.... being that I got the "I think Valentines Day is so commercial and I would much rather get you something on the days that your not expecting it.... and blah blah blah........ in other words... I'm not getting squat.

When are men going to realize that we don't care about all the reasons you don't agree with HAVING to but someone something..... we want something anyway - it's in our nature... I become hormonally challenged on this day and expect something - not neccessarily store bought - I actually prefer the creative but it means so much and didn't cost alot kind of things!!! Even if you don't agree and don't want to ....if your significant other would really enjoy getting something on this day - then s*** up and get her something.... OK - I have vented.

If we buy something because we feel we HAVE to, it doesn't mean anything.

We went to the beach and had a picnic.. we brought a kite and the football. Enjoyed turkey sanwiches, fresh fruit, potato salad, and brownies. We had a relaxing, fun afternoon. Too bad I forgot the sunscreen... we both have toasty noses!
