Or, whatcha giving???

After a fabulous birthday in December and an even better Christmas from the hubby, we thought we'd do cheap and silly for Valentines. I love him every day of the year. Why spend too much money to tell him on the 14th? So, after our monthly club meeting tonight, he gave me my gift.
It's HILARIOUS! It's a stuffed cow who sings and dances. He sings "Hey Good Looking"! So, he took a piece of felt and cut a 3 dimentional fin, glued it to his hat, then he made him a MOTM lanyard and added marti gras beads. He told me he couldn't find a tiny hawiian shirt. This little cow is the funniest thing I've seen in a LONG time. And the best part, look at all the effort that went into personalizing it for me!

The kids and I got him a SUPERDAD statue. He has a Superman tattoo and the keets really believe he can leap tall buildings in a single bound. We also had a blast making him a card. (BTW, glitter does NOT wash off easily. Especially from wooden tables)

Nothing ... and nothing ....

It doesnt have good memories for me .... well it does in a way - it kinda helped me get to where I am today ( the memory) but - it does hurt a little to remember it :-?

Creeky, I'm sorry. Love can sometimes stink. Why don't you start a new tradition? Buy yourself something you have really wanted but not NEEDED. My Mom rasied me as a single Mom and every Father's day, she gave herself a gift. Made since to us. She was the Mom, Dad, maid, taxi driver, you name it.

The 13th (TODAY) has been a horrific day in our family years and years over. Everything from wrecked marrages to suicide attemps.
This morning, my keet woke me at 6am with "Mommy, some little drips keep hitting me on my arm and forehead while I'm in the bed and my pillow is soaking wet." :o LOVELY, a roof leak. That, at least, can be fixed. (But not for a good amount of money!!)

Bought me a pair of earings,
Bought me flowers,
And he took me out to eat.

The J. Geils Band was on the Today Show Friday concert about 3 or 4 years ago. Katie Couric was interviewing Peter Wolf between songs and he said "If Love Stinks how come everybody wants a sniff?"

Huh, Valentine’s Day.

You know what I just realized? I’m the only one in my family (with the exception of my 15 month old nephew  ) who hasn’t dated, and I’m 17 years old, which I suppose is odd for my age. I have four cousins who are younger then me who have/had girlfriends…
:-?
