Wino .... that is one beautiful shephard (shepard) (dog). Somehow the spelling escapes me. Could it be the chardonnay? Yep I think it is.
Henry is disgusted with me, and decided to disappear into the back yard.
He appears to have re-gained his sense of superiority, and is prowling the the backyard for intruders.
Oops ... here he is again. Needs his human. Must re-train her in the needs of providing more attention and home care in this situation! ( I read this in his eyes) OK Henry .. let her rip!

If you're crazy for talking to Henry I should be commited.

We threw a birthday party for my Mishka. Presents, the whole shebang.

Glad to hear he's a little sassier today. :)

Betty-
I believe it's German SHEPHERD, I'm not too sure myself. And I'm NOT drinking any wine. dammit! :D
But that's one of my dogs, and her name is Desdemona. 8)

It's NOT crazy when a person talks to their pet-it's being a loving and responsible pet owner.
We not only TALK to our dogs, we take them on outings to the park, built them EACH their own special bed, feed them STEAK and/or hamburger from time to time (I also can't believe they both love MILK- :-? ), and I even make greeting cards to my wife from the dogs for special occasions. I write their name on the card, and place one of their paw prints on it.

WHO NEEDS TO BE COMMITTED?

Betty,

Good to hear that Henry is getting back to normal. Just caught this thread, so I wasn't much help. Concensus seems to be Dawn is the best for such problems:

Heck, I talk to our 14 yr old lab and 15+ yr old persian cat all the time. Mostly cause nobody else will listen to me.

The lab once fell into an open septic tank out in the country. Now that was really fun......tomato juice was the answer for the smell, but not sure it would cut the oil.

Take care and best wishes to you and Henry!

Though not a pet owner myself, I am the aunt to several dogs, and think that talking to the animals must be a sign of intelligence!

So glad Henry seems to be doing better!

And for Donna who had a birthday party with presents, a cousin of mine broke up with a boyfriend years ago, and he sent her monthly "cat support" checks for years!

Animals help keep us human!
