Bizarre Cover Bands

This weekend I experienced something very strange, a Poison cover band. That's right, Unskinny Bop, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Nothin' But a Good Time, POISON. This made me think, "What other weird cover bands are out there?"
I do have to give credit to these guys, they played a few non-Poison songs, and they were pretty good. The singer definitely sounded like Brett Michaels (who is now on Mailboat Records, look Mom, I found a Buffett connection) so I guess the Poison cover band was a natural move for him.
They're called Hollyweird in case you are interested, and if you are up for a surreal experience I suggest you check them out.
So who out there has seen a weird cover band? The more they imitate the original artist the better.

If you are a fan of The Who, my buddy Billy put this tribute band together......... Wait till you see the singer....... Looks just like Daltrey and they even had the oportunity to play with John Entwhistle........

Dread Zeppelin is perhaps the weirdest cover band I remember hearing about. There's also a group touring called the Dave Matthews Cover Band. I always wondered about them since most tribute bands wait until the band they're performing a tribute to is actually over.

By the way Jah, I just wanted to say that about 7-8 times out of 10 I agree with what you have to say, be it musical, political, or just general observation. I just wish everyone would quit taking disagreements as personal attacks.
That said, damn you're an ass! j/k  :D

Back in college, there was a band called the Brat Pack who played all 80's music. It was a fun show.

Whiskey Creek is a Skynyrd cover band in the Northwest, by all accounts a very good show. Just have never been able to catch them myself.

Isn't there a KISS cover band called KISS ARMY?
There is also a Metallica cover band but the name escapes me.

Not a tribute to any particular band, but Hayseed Dixie does very interesting covers of some great classic rock tunes.
