Jimmy does the big band thing with Frank Sinatra on the Duets 2 CD.....They sing "Mack the Knife"....

Why does every "Over the Hill" or past their prime artist have to do a big band or standards album?

.....I personally hope Buffett doesn't do one....

May not be "big band" but I loved the way Jimmy did Do you Know what it means to Miss New Orleans.

I would also love a jazzy type cd like Jerry Jeff did Jerry Jeff Jazz. It was just another dimension for exploring...

It will be great to hear Buffett tunes with the Coral Reefers done with different arrangements. I think it keeps the band motivated and fresh. (Do you think he will ever just go ahead and skip, WDWGD? I'm ready for NO version of that, but want all the other standards IN CONCERT.)

I personally liked the "In The Shelter" NEW arrangement.

Bring ON the Bob Roberts Society Band.

I agree! That was a great song! An album full of New Orleans jazz would be really cool.

Leave the crooning to Chris Isaak and Harry Connick, Jr.

Bring back MARVIN GARDENS. Make a "Return to A1A" record, with that Gulf Western Sound, full of great and complex stories. That, my friends and neighbors, would be CLASSIC.
