Ok, pholks... My wife, best friend, and I will be driving in on Thursday. We're staying near the show and, due to the lack of a designated driver, we'll likely be walking to the concert. With that in mind, and not having a car in the parking lot to tailgate from, where can we find a nice place to imbibe before the show? Any cool bars or restuarants nearby? This will be my first time in Columbia, so I know nothing about the place. Thanks for your help!

In walking distance from the Colonial center is The Vista. Its full of bars. I know there is a pre party at Jillians in the Vista, and also alot of people from here are going to a bar called The Wild Hare. That is where the Palmetto Parrotheads are flocking

Damn! How did ya'll get such good tickets?! I'm freakin' nosebleed again. Last two years I was behind the stage. Except for the acoustic set when he turns to the back, I don't think I've ever been closer than 200 feet from the man.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to make it up in the parking lot.

I decorated the truck last night. You should have seen the looks on my way into work! I'm counting down the hours until I can skip work early and start partying with the Palmetto Parrothead Club and then tailgate at my truck. For those of you wondering, I hear the parking lots will be opening around 8:00 in limited areas. By the way, a lot of Palmetto Parrothead Club members will be in Section 117. I'm going to try to find some last minute floor seats if possible!

It's getting closer......Time to head to the liquor store, so I don't have to waste any time tomorrow.
We hope to run into as many parrot heads and Bn'ers as possible. It's going to be a great time.
Isn't it wonderful to have something to look forward too in the middle of the week in February!!!
