Summer music

Post by OceanCityGirl »

It's 58deg. out here today. Got spring fever. I know what the obvious on these boards will be, but what songs make you feel like putting down the windows in your car and singing at the top of your lungs?

For me almost any Springsteen tune will do it
ex. Born to Run, Dancin in the Dark, Glory Days, Hungry Heart, Thunder Road, etc..
Walkin on Memphis
Boys of Summer
Centerfield
Older Van Halen stuff

We had a blast of spring like weather here that we're still enjoying. This is the first album I grabbed and turned the volume up to 11...

First off...to me. 58 is still mid-winter....brrrrrr
When its warmer (above 75) I reach for my two friends CD's and knowing that they'll be playing around town more.

Before I became a Parrot Head, and even now that I am a Parrot Head, summer does not begin for me until I hear "Margaritaville", and it does not end until I hear it one last time!

Yep, Boy's are back in Town fits the bill. I love that song. I guess what I'm thinking of is summer's coming music. That's why most Buffett doesn't fit the bill. Summer's coming music is usually pretty rocking although some belting ballads fit the bill too.

"Abracadabra" reminds me of summer.
As a kid going to the beach I remember it all over the radio.

Tom Petty: Runnin' Down A Dream--very summery to me. We had 50+ yesterday too; but NOT TODAY.
