The funny part is ( not funny ha ha ) is that alot of the NHL have jumped accross the pond to play for less money! What a joke. I use to be a big time NHL fan. Now though I will have to do the same thing I did after the Baseball strike. Kiss it goodbye. I refuse to support anyone that can not think about all the little people under them that it effects. From all the comentators, producers, camera opps, and directors to the hockey bar owners, waitstaff, and cooks to the parking attendants, concesioniers, and ticket rippers. There are now alot of good people out of work. All because some premadonna apparently can not survive on six million a year.
Which does not explain why most are on the other side of the planet playing for less! Kind of makes the whole situation moot. Love of the sport vs. principal? At whos cost though? The hard working folks that work the venues supporting the NHL and the fans who have put alot of thier hard earned money into the NHL.

HOCKEY IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like Mario and Wayne Gretsky got both sides to meet each other and it appears both sides have agreed on a deal (45 million cap). WEEI here in Boston seems pretty sure a deal may be announced this afternoon. If this deal falls through then this league is the biggest bunch of cock-teases in the world.
