Sure, there is plenty to see and do in the parking lot and before the show without them, but these guys just add to the festive atmosphere is all! It's a fun job, but someone's gotta do it!

Tim Glancey, also known as Tim the Magic Magician makes a special
appearance on Radio Margaritaville's Time After Island Time! You've
seen those guys on roller blades and stilts at Jimmy Buffett
concerts...now is the time to hear the story from the man who started
it...

Tim is no stranger to anyone who has ever attended a Jimmy Buffett
Concert. Tim "The Magic" Magician is the pre concert entertainment
director for Jimmy Buffett, leader of The Sports Magic Team and
leader of Trails Of Margaritaville Walking Tour in Key West. Tim is a
very pleasant chap and gave us a wonderful interview while we were
down in Key West this past November for MOTM. This delightful episode
airs on the following dates and times right on Jimmy Buffett's Radio
Margaritaville!

All Shows are Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

Just home from the J'ville show.
Asked the stiltwalkers if Tim was
around. They said he was no longer
part of the tour. JB musta dumped
Sports Magic totally. I told
'em I'd just have to catch him on
my next "Trails of M'ville" tour. 8)

I was looking for Tim at the Orlando show. Sorry to hear he's not gonna be around anymore.

They were featured nicely on the 60 minutes uncut special anyway!

So are you're saying they've got a new company doing the pre-show fun, or that Tim himself is just no longer doing the shows?? It seemed like there was a connection between he and Jimmy that went back a long ways, and that relationship was part of what enabled them to do the Trails tour in Key West. Geez, another question that will bother me so....

Sometimes my math suks (putting 2+ 2 together), but all this is saying Tim was featured as the pre-concert entertainment director on RM one day and literally off the tour the next :o ...still doesn't add up to me. I'd bet StiltPros has been subcontracted by Tim and SportsMagic.
