Landlord/tenant question

I just stumbled across an Ebay auction for the house I used to rent. From the pics, it's obvious that our landlords were inside taking picutres while we lived there, without our knowledge or consent.
Anyone know if this was legal?

WHAT!?!?!

Did you recognize your stuff in your pics!?!?
But, yes, I'm pretty sure it's legal.

Mine posted pics of mine once when I gave consent for the sale of the place - but then they used them again to advertise it for rental - without my consent - I never did follow up what the legalities of it were here.
In my situation, I guess because I allowed them to take the pics, they were theirs to do what they wanted with.
It is a little violating to see your personal things on their site tho

The Residential Tenancies Act where I live states that a landlord must give reasonable notice that he or she is going to enter, and get the tenant's approval.

I know it's not legal in Colorado to enter w/out tenant notification. I'll see if I can round up some links.

In Texas the landlord can enter in cases of fire or flood or other emergency that could cause damage to the property. Any other time the landlord has to give the tenant notice.
In the Dallas there's a tennant's right association. Do you have one in your area that you can perhaps contact?

Landlord/tenant laws vary greatly by state, is there a Fair Housing Agency in your area? Try contacting them for info on your rights.

Hey Clayton! Good to see ya!
Thanks for the advice. Gonna hunt down the applicable law before I do anything. No lawyers in here tho...I mean we do have SOME standards (it is pick on lawyers day, right?

)

Not sure that was the official name, but as long as you know the meaning.
