I know there is another thread about this somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
"A Salty Piece of Land" has been sitting here, I just haven't wanted to read it. Now I read a few chapters each night, and I'm astounded. What a wild imagination ... where do all these crazy scenarios come from? And how he connects all these characters to the story line is amazing. I remember seeing him in an interview (Ellen?) where he said that he tries to write a page a day.
I understand that he doesn't want this book to be taken very seriously, and from my standpoint, it won't. But very entertaining ... I love all the phrases that highlight a song title. Tully and Willy are my very favorite fantasy heroes!

He does have an amazing imagination. I love it. I'm also in the process of reading A Salty Piece of Land in between my college reading... I like it much better than my homework though. haha I love how there are certain phrases or references to songs throughout the reading, I laugh hysterically everytime I pick up the book. Normally I can ignore who the writer is and read a book just for what the book is, but not with jimmy I always picture him sitting there laughing as he writes these crazy things!
Happy Reading!
