The only disapointment was that there was no Salty Peace of Land....was looking forward to it............I thought it was a lock......oh well one night this tour for sure......SEofDisorder wrote:so is this the best set list ever or what?
Also there are some good tunes on RM now after the show.......

yeah that was a surprise, although i wasn't too upset about it .. . it was sort of like the same situation with the hurricane benefit concert, how would u do a hurricane benefit concert withouth playing "Tryin' To Reason w/ the hurricane season"VB for Buffett wrote:The only disapointment was that there was no Salty Peace of Land....was looking forward to it............I thought it was a lock......oh well one night this tour for sure......SEofDisorder wrote:so is this the best set list ever or what?

While I loved this set list, it was nice hearing some of the older stuff, I do not consider it one of the best. It is the Salty Piece of Land tour and he did not even do that song. In my opinon he could leave Brown eyed girl to Van Morrison, he has so many original tunes that would be nicer to be able to hear. However, I am looking forward to seeing him in Charlotte and I will be singing brown eyed girl right along with the other phans!

I am blown away at the mix. The Jack Johnson cover is a nice tip of the hat to a musician who will carry the tiki torch when Jimmy calls it quits.SEofDisorder wrote:so is this the best set list ever or what?

The Horizon Has Been Defeated was defenitely an awesome addition. I havent heard Jimmy's version yet, but I love Jack Johnson. I won't go as far as saying that he will carry the torch once Jimmy is done, but I dont know who else will?

Kenny Chesney seems to be the choice of the more mainstream pop music fans.parrotheadmike wrote:The Horizon Has Been Defeated was defenitely an awesome addition. Jack's music will never be exactly like Buffett's but he's a laid back island original. Jack, Jimmy, and Bob while sitting on the beach with a Captain in hand......sounds good. Perhaps tomorrow I will.

I really had a good time at the show. The setlist was awesome. I loved looking at the crowd when he'd play something they didn't know. Just blank stares, or they would dash off the the potty.
Where did that first song come from?? Never heard it. Can anyone enlighten me? I gotta admit, I liked it but it got a blank stare from me too there for a minute.
I also really liked the Lighthouse song by James Taylor.
