Trash Bags, Please

not sure where this goes, but......
If you are going to a concert (Jimmy or anyone else), PLEASE bring and use a trash bag. Last night at Columbia was a blast, parties and drinking, and of course Jimmy. We waited 30 min or so for the parking lot to clear before we left. I was in shock at the filth left behind. I brought 3 bags, 1 to use and 2 spares incase someone else needed one. Please pick up after yourself.
If you pack it in, PLEASE pack it out.

Good point Joe! Several BN'ers have mentioned the garbage problem.
Hope you enjoyed the show!

OH yes I did E. The show rocked with all the change ups to the set list. Once again Jimmy showed why he's the best

In some venues local parrothead clubs have volunteered in the past to help clean up. Not the most fun way to get charity credit for PHIP tickets.

Camden is a complete sh*thole year round. After the concerts, it's downright disgusting...even by New Jersey standards.

When I was walking back to my truck after the show, I was disgusted at all the trash. My little area around our campsite was almost spotless after we left. They even provided several very large refuse containers at our disposal but I bet hardly anyone used them. I was very disappointed at what I saw. I thought (hoped) parrotheads had a better head on their shoulders than that. I agree, I can't change it all myself but with a little help from phriends we can maybe put a dent in the problem.

I had mine in a trash bag in the back of my car, and hauled it out of there

Awesome tip and it is something my phriends and I have always done, but
I've gotten back to my car after the concert and found all our trash bags were ripped open and dumped while people were rumaging for empty beer bottles. The thing that disgusts me are the people who leave grills, bars they built in the parking lot, couches, etc.

True PH's do, and do what they can for the environment. Most PH clubs around here have beach clean up days, small island cleanup days and do many other positive things around the community...granted I enjoy adult beverages and partying...but still have yet to throw a can in the street, leave a bottle in the parking lot and I get p*** off at myself if I let a napkin blow away...BE RESPONSIBLE people. Drunk or not..if you can remember where your d**k is to pee, you can hopefully remember where the damn trash bag is to put in an empty bottle or can. If not, at least throw it in the bed of the closest truck you can find...NOT on the parking lot...
There, that's my PSA....

I take offense to that!!!! But you are right, the parking lots are pretty nasty afterwards.

actually, I think the best parking lot I've been to, was in Cincinnatti.....pretty impressed by the way they handled it.......no charge to park AND they gave us trash bags when we pulled (we pack our own always).......the lot was clear when we came out of the concert! way to be!
