Got to the hotel - scanned the board. This was a great show tonight, especially
with the Stars and Coconut surprises. Setlist from conched is right on.
Trying to offer info you can’t hear on RM. But first, my feed was excellent tonight.
Probably repeating, but there are no curtains and just this big lighthouse
behind the band, that actually works.
Nobody mentioned this but during Ragtop, two balls went up on stage and
one hit Jimmy’s microphone, made a noise, but he was able to duck away.
He still looked like he was having fun during CIP - don't know how he can
do this for so many years.
It was good to hear he got all the words for gypsies.
The Johnny Carson tribute is a combination of old clips and Jimmy
narrating - seemed like he was reading this off of a computer screen. The
WDWGDS part was a recording from today's parking people. I agree they
were the best so far. When Jimmy says "Thank you Johnny", that's live.
The Lighthouse and Banana Republics were played from the surfboard
bench, and the rest of the band was kind of hanging around the bench.
During Banana a beach ball went on stage and Jimmy promptly kicked it
right back to the crowd.
SOASOAS was the only song exclusive to the indoor lawn.
Nicki - When they played 5:00 somewhere, I looked at my watch and
knew that it was 5:21 in Maui.
At the end of Pirate, they flashed a picture of Hunter S Thompson.
We stayed and watched the lighthouse come down. It's just a big stick
with cloth or plastic wrapped around it.
BEG - maybe see you in Tampa.

We had the "pleasure" of sitting in a crowd of just barely old enough to drink girls who were there only for the new stuff. If it didnt come out in the last two years, they had no idea what it was and could be heard saying "WTF is this?, This sucks!, Why don't he play..., This is crap... etc.) They basically got to enjoy about 4 songs while trying their best to ruin the other 23 for the rest of us. It was sad that they didnt even know the stuff from SYKBH.....

Hey BNers, great show last night and I see from the 25 pages of postings that most of you all enjoyed it too

. The weather was great yesterday. Shorts and sandals in February

who'd a thunkit. We even spotted some bikini clad tailgaters at AmeriSuites. But we awoke to upper 30s and some kind of rainy / sleet mix.
I must say that Peter was fantastic (as usual) and as some of you mentioned in your postings last night, it actually does seem that Jimmy is featuring Peter more on this tour than I've noticed in the past. And rightfully so - if you are familiar with Peter's music then you know he is not only a genius with his "six-stringed musicbox" but an incredible singer/songwriter as well. Jimmy seemed to be having a great time and sounded excellent. Leads me to believe he was sick at the Ft Lauderdale show. As usual, Tina, Nadira, Julie, and
Heather were fabulous
****especially Heather****
Thanks Jimmy
Hope to see more of this tour later in the summer when the reefers swing back through the Carolinas - Greensboro? Raleigh? Myrtle would be cool

Well, did you see who Louisa Kendricks is? He has introduced her every night so far.
Thanks to you and gbm and almost 40 for the posts about the show.
gbm, that's interesting about the lighthouse getting undressed...now, wouldn't that be a cool job...to dress the lighthouse to fit the locale each concert site.

Louisa Kendricks was the other dancer - she seemed very tall and thin
(very much like Heather) - don't know where Julie went.
Dressing the lighthouse for each different show site would be a very
challenging but also enlightening job
Charlotte Show was awesome!!!!!!!!!

sorry Louisa. I didn't realize Julie had been replaced. Maybe if I'd been down on the floor (which is where I suspect you were GBM

)
I would have noticed

thanks for the info

Matt, I was listening to the show again and I didn't realize that Jimmy actually says
HULA HULA right after One Particular Harbour.
Is that where you got that? Duh!

I agree (Carribean Soul Man) Myrtle Beach would be a cool place to see Jimmy B. I loved the Charlotte concert, and am enjoying listening to the live concerts on RM! Can't wait till April!!! [/b]
