I love what Jimmy said about his guitar playing.
Something along the lines of:
"I wish I could play guitar like Clapton....but I'm sure he wishes he could cast a flyrod like me"

the live stuff is mostly from the '96 tour...

...although, there is some recent stuff (including snippets from the Fenway shows and a little from the Texas Stadium show at the very end of the program).

God bless TiVo.

They're out of my league. They have more than two moving parts, so I'm LOST.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jimmy pop up more on CMT -- if they can get the interviews, footage, etc. (given Jimmy's comment about not wanting overexposure; "the time to see us is at the show".) I think they've discovered that JB brings them a nice audience (duh  ).

Overall, it was a nice show. Some of the comments were quite insightful as to what a bright guy he is -- understands his fans and pursues opportunities (LTC example was great), and has fun doing it. I also liked the 4 trucks part...what did Madonna have this last year...14 trucks on tour? I'll bet her profit margin didn't come close to Jimmy's (over 35%) from the numbers Steve Croft quoted.

I thought it was a great show. Everybody needs to watch it, and it should be a part of your Buffett collection.

Post by Frozen Parrot »

I have been so looking forward to watching this program and I discovered yesterday that here in Canada - CMT is not airing the program!! Imagine!! I e-mailed CMT Canada and inquired but I am not holding out any hopes they will air the special. :(

I've watched pieces when ever I can catch it. Based on the songs they used it seems like he only has two songs. M'ville and A Pirate Looks at 40 got a lot of time.
