Flowery: When I made mine, I didn't use Captain, I used a coconut rum (Cruzan, I think). And you'll want to chill it/put it in the freezer, boiling the liquor defeats the purpose. Experiment with different flavors of jello, the pineapple was a big hit at StarLake! ^^'s up and let me know how yours turns out & the variations you try!

pudding?!?! really? & 'champagne' jello...do you mean the 'sparkling' jello stuff I've seen? Anon., are you SURE about this?? (also- part = cup, is that ok for the mix, or do you need more liquid?) LisaD., is this one of your sanctioned recipes? just curious...

Flowery: rule of thumb for 'Electric Jello': Whatever the amount of cold water called for (depends on the size of the box), you can substitute that much liquor. This will make them STRONG. You may want to experiment with 3/4's or 1/2's. ^^'s up & don't forget to share the stories of the aftermath!

Juicyfruit,
Everclear and Grave's are very hard to come by in any package store, due to the fact that they are 100% (or 200 proof) alcohol. Scary stuff. Should be purchased only by prescription. Actually, I have found it in some of the really old seedy packy's in my area... you can buy a gallon for about 3 bucks. There is no flavor to it and it is highly flammable. I shudder to think that I used to do shots of it in college. Nowadays the only application I would even consider it for would be jello shots, because it makes nice firm shots.....Yikes
Jello...it's not just for wrestling anymore

FBFins: 2 large boxes of lime Jello
1 two-liter bottle of 7-up
1 bottle of Margaritaville Tequila (cold)
Boil the 7-up and add it to the Jello.
Stir until the Jello is disolved. Add
the COLD tequila. Pour this mixture into
individual size serving containers and
put in the refrigerator for about 4 to 6
hours (overnight is best). Enjoy!!

oh my- did we all POUNCE on being helpful for that one or WHAT!

LisaD., can you say it had no flavor with a straight face?? I remember that stuff from college & I remember the taste. (or maybe it was just the firy feeling like you just swallowed jet fuel!) yikes- what we could do with a gallon of that! I think they actually have a liquor on the shelves now htat is marketed under 'EverClear'. I can't believe it the same (or as strong), has anyone seen it? ^^'s up!!

We are the Jello shot queens!!! In college, we used to make them with Midori and call them Slimeballs. They are actually quite good that way.

THANKS FOR THE RECIPES!!! I'm going to be too "happy" this weekend...ha!ha!ha! Now ya'll want to talk about "firy" try some moonshine. I remember back in my younger years getting into my uncle's private stash...You could run a car off that stuff...

...maybe that should have been 'fiery'...does that look better?
Juicy: ooohh- Midori! betcha' that would be good with watermelon jello!
& p.s. I went back to the top of this thing & saw someone had posted to try this with pineapple jello. Looks like I stole your idea, didn't mean to plaigarize, think of it as flattery! I obviously used that as a subliminal suggestion when I made my choices! Thanks! ^^'s up!
...have a very fruitful day (hey)...

J'Fruit: isn't Midori liquor? (or liqueur...) or do you want more to add in there??

Well...technically it is liquor, but we always boosted it with Vodka or something to get where we wanted to be, so to speak. I was thinking of Parrot Bay, but I saw you mention Cruzan -- I've never tried that. How do you think it would taste with this?

Juicy: Cruzan is a real mellow coconut rum. The beauty of using it for experiments like this is that it is inexpensive. (I originally tried it because it comes in a pretty frosted bottle! yikes!) They also have a banana (yuk) rum, and a pineapple rum. That pineapple one might be interesting to try with Jello, too. (There's always room for Jello.)

Ohio: I will try it and let you know. Is it hard to find? Did you read Lisa D.'s post on the stick and the butt on the other thread? I don't remember exactly where it it but it is worth looking for.
