THANK YOU!!opharbour wrote:I guess I have to be the one to part company. To me, when Nadirah chimes in on SOASOAS, it's like nails being drawn against a chalk board.
It's bad enough hearing the song without Fingers.
I coulnd't agree more!
If you ever wonder, why you ride the carousel, you do it for the stories you could tell.
Well, mermaid, did you make that happen in Jacksonville, or was that the real Nadirah with Jimmy and Mac again?mermaidindisguise wrote:She didn't sing it at FTL - and I was a little disappointed - I was ready to go up and sing it for her of course - but I am still working on the whole idea of getting up there sometime - just gotta figure out the logistics and how to make her suddenly unavailable. I did vote for just Mac and Jimmy in the poll, but last night it sounded so good I would have changed my vote...yes, I'm a Libra.
What high aspirations you have...go for it, mermaid!

Hey Mermaid, just get quoted in a newspaper the day of or before the concert saying your greatest dream in life is to sing on stage with Jimmy Buffett. It worked for Stan the Man in Columbia. You can hear JB on the live album before Pascagoula Run saying "I've been reading about y'all." Then he invites Stan on stage to sing Margaritaville WITH him! That was two years ago. I talked to Stan and a friend of his about how that felt, before last Thursday's concert in Columbia. His friend, a nice lady from Greenville, said it was a real treat, being backstage with Jimmy. She says she reads BuffettNews.com, and I told her she should come on here and tell us all about it.mermaidindisguise wrote:She didn't sing it at FTL - and I was a little disappointed - I was ready to go up and sing it for her of course - but I am still working on the whole idea of getting up there sometime - just gotta figure out the logistics and how to make her suddenly unavailable. On topic here, I like Nadirah's singing her part, altho I had to get used to it. What I REALLY miss is the boat bells chiming in, as in "Like a man just released from indenture, Ching Ching!"

In on SOASOAS
She is good for that song but I could do without her on Margaritaville screaming SALT....at least I think it is her. Otherwise she does have a beautiful voice and she is a hottie.

I think there's a woman in Portland, Oregon that may be able to help you out on that. What was her name...Tanya Harding????mermaidindisguise wrote: just gotta figure out the logistics and how to make her suddenly unavailable. I really hope Jimmy doesn't read these threads!
She was not quite what you would call refined. She was not quite what you would call unrefined. She was the kind of person that keeps a parrot."-MARK TWAIN
