I was at the Columbia show on Thursday and, although I wasn't checked for any contraband, every time I snapped a pic with my small digital camera, I was scolded by a security person. I just tried to be more discreet from then on but I got caught several times and no action was taken. I think they don't bother trying to take $500.00 cameras away from people anymore. I would imagine they could probably give you the boot if you caused a problem though.

I took my camera into the Colonial Center Thursday and took several pictures. We were sitting very close to the stage and never got a single glance from security. I tried to take my camera into Charlotte last year though and they wouldn't let me in.

Thanks for everybody's response. I don't know what to do know. I just have two disposable cameras. If they don't pat you down, maybe I can put them in my socks..........

Thanks

I remember last year they wouldn't let us take cameras in at Charlotte...you probably do want to take in the disposable ones just in case.

My hubby told me that he thought the security guy just thought I was cute and was using it as an excuse to come over and talk to me.

cameras in Charlotte

Post by laytonnnc »

I was wondering about cameras as well. Anyone going to Jocks and Jills pre concert? They are having a gathering of parrotheads starting at 3pm.

Also--anyone know where to direct me to getting a copy of tomorrow's show?

I took a 35mm camera into the Charlotte show last year. If I remember correctly, they didn't pat us down...but we did have to empty our pockets.

Good luck and enjoy the show!

:o :( Oh NO! what about my 6 little airplane bottles of Cap'n Morgan??? This could be a problem. Do they always check pockets? That must create a heluva bottleneck at the doors :x
you can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day if you don't start in the morning 8)

Cameras are not allowed, which means you have to hide the camera. If you are female, I learned this in New Orleans, stuff the camera in your pants. They will not check there if you get my drift, this I learned from a Policeman. Watched it happen without a problem, while others were taken out of line and gave up their camera. Good luck.
