Stolen Concert Shirts

Post by Lil Miss Magic22 »

Hey everybody...just wanted to give you guys a heads up....be a little more careful at the shows if you buy t-shirts before the concert ends. My friend went ahead an bought $130.00 worth of t-shirts at the Columbia show just before the encores. While we were dancing someone actually reached down and grabbed them out of the seat behind us. :( Never really thought I would have to worry about this kind of stuff at a Buffett show, but I guess I was wrong. We had a great time anyway, but it did put a damper on the night.

Really this goes on everywhere - it's never safe to assume that your valuables will be protected anywhere - it's up to you to protect them. Thieves are everywhere in all shapes and sizes.

I'm sorry for your loss

Stolen Concert Shirts

Post by fins91 »

The same thing happened to us a couple of years ago at Alpine. The bag of shirts was right behind me on my chair and someone took it while we were enjoying the show. Unfortunately, not all concert goers are true parrotheads.

That was the way we felt...I know it happens at every show but I thought I would just remind everyone to be careful with your belongings even if they are less than a foot away from you

How true. I have found that most only know "The Songs You Know By Heart" stuff.

I remember somebody reporting that a wheelchair got stolen at a Buffett concert last year. Why can't people just leave well enough alone?
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Alcohol an a-holes don't mix. You can't get much lower than stealing a wheelchair.

It almost happened to me last summer at the Van Halen show in Worcester (Boston) Ma. I was holding my shirt up to look at the back and some sh!t bag ran buy and grabbed the shirt. He didn't get about 10 feet before he tripped and fell pretty herd flat on his face and didn't get up right away. Being the mature adult I am I just walked over to him took the shirt back and walked away without doing or saying anything. It was the best form of justice there was about 25 people who saw this. Actually he was lucky he fell because I hadn't even started drinking yet and I would have caught him no problem. I have a bit of pull with the police and I would have asked the police escort him out of the show, or worse they could have charged with a disorderly or an attempted larceny.

I was at a Van Halen concert wearing a Jimmy Buffett T-shirt I didn't want to cover it up. I usually tuck them in my waistband of my shorts.

Little Miss!!!! Oh my gosh! :o

I can't believe the nerve of some people. The world is just full of stupid people.

Hope the next show is a much more pleasant experience all around.
