Charlotte....just my opinion.....

Post by Pyr8swyf »

The show was good and the set list was, in my opinion, great! It was nice to see Jimmy take a few oldies off the shelf and dust them off....even better yet was my 14yo son singing along with "Woman Goin Crazy on Carolina Street." I guess we're raising him right, at least in the eyes of the Parrothead Nation. He is a guitar player, and really enjoyed Peter Mayer's playing last night!! When he played "Woman Goin Crazy," Jimmy said, "This is a song people." (Maybe he was getting a few glassy-eyed stares on that one from the SYKBH crowd.....) There were a lot of kids at the show, and the crowd in general was well behaved -- I didn't really like WDWGDAS up on the screen with the words and all....up until now, my 9yo thought the line was "why don't we eat lunch at school?" Guess I'll have some "splaining" to do.... He really enjoyed the giant shark floating over the crowd, and of course, he enjoyed all the standard songs kids do - Volcano, Fins, Cheeseburger -- We don't go for the party like so many do, but we go for the music, totally...and it was nice to have a fairly sober crowd sitting around us. Even though Buffett fumbled a few lines here and there....(but then again, who am I to judge).....It was a great show!! Come to think of it, I have not seen a bad one yet!!!
There's just too much to see waiting in front of me.....

I thought the Charlotte show was fantastic. Great setlist and an energetic, well behaved crowd. It really is great to see Jimmy having such a good and treating his "occupation" as more than just a job!
My keets also are of the "eat lunch at school" version and were not at the show, so I am safe for now.

Dumb question but what does SKYBH stand for...i've seen it in several posts but i can't figure it out.
Fall semester in a Southern college town has little to do with studying and more to do with football and fraternity rush. I didn't know much about the football team. Hell at that time I was really an Ole Miss fan and to this day I still cant figure out why I didn’t enroll at the U of Mississippi-JB
