Megan, Drumkat, and Anyone Else?

Post by Gulfbreeze »

We know of Megan's recent "video" appearance/singing last night in Tampa, and I am listening to Drumkat's music at his website which sounds awesome BTW....

http://homepage.mac.com/sonordrum/steel ... mples.html

Are there any more samples out there of BN'rs musical talents that we can listen to and perhaps buy?

I bought a guitar some 10 years ago right after watching a Jim Croce documentary, (oh sure, I may have been a little buzzed thinking "Hey, that looks easy enough")...but all I do is dust it off and tune it about every 3 months, try to play something like Stairway, and when I realize I am musically challanged, it gets put back in the corner to rest for a few more months.

I suffer from musician's envy...

No one wants to hear BB sing! I'm horribly tone deaf and sound, well, terrible.

I could probably bust out a mean Mary Had a Little Lamb on the recorder...or a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the Flute. All that money my parents spent on band camp went to waste, I guess.

I certainly wasn't blessed with a ton of musical talent either. :-?

I started playing guitar thanks to Jimmy and Jim Morris back in 2000.
I've written quite a few songs since then but have not "professionally" recorded any of them yet. My dream is to put something out independently like I did back in former life as a hip hop artist. It would be so much better now with the internet and what not. I'd like to start a band but most of the people I personally know who play want to play primarily Skynyrd and southern rock. They think I'm crazy because musically I've got island fever. I should have something out by the time I hit sixty

hi Gulf,
thanks for the kind words. I love steel drum music and I like playing it even more. Performing all the parts on all the songs just makes it that much more personal!

Also, check out my other band. http://www.hillbillywinos.com

some really great acoustic guitar work on that CD. It can be purchased on iTunes BTW. Just search Hillbilly Winos

I already did....you were on some buried thread, and thought you needed a little more play up in here....I downloaded the whole thing that was available, hit control T on Media Player and was a happy camper. Great work....you need to move to the Coast and work it full time.

very cool, glad you like it. I love playing both styles of music but my steel drum stuff is much more lucrative right now. I'd love for them both to take off but I'd settle for 1 of them to "pan" out for me.

Beats working for a living thats for sure!!!
