Any recommendations on what to see or do in Memphis TN? Never been there before and will be there for a few days in May.
I am no longer fighting my inner demons. We are on the same side now.

Ahhhh....MEMPHIS!
If you are interested in music history, visit the Rock 'n Soul museum. It's part of the Smitsonian. Well done. If you already know much about music history, you won't actually learn much, but it's very cool to see things like the soundboard that a lot of the original Sun Studio recordings were mixed on.
Next door is the Gibson guitar factory. This is where they make all the "stock" Gibsons. VERY cool.
Beale Street.....oh YUM! B.B. King's BBQ, and a bunch of other good 'Q joints.
The Peabody Hotel on Union....at 9:00 (?) a.m. each day, the Peabody Ducks are led out on a red carpet to frolic in the big fountain all day. MUCH fun for the kiddies and kiddies at heart.
Corky's BBQ (can't remember exactly where, but it's not on Beale St) but worth the wait in line.
Krispy Kreme closes at 10:00 or 11:00, but may still have hot donuts for you if show up later. Trust me
Beale Street is AWESOME any time of day....just music flowing out of every doorway.
Memphis in May is a big shindig they have down there. Never been, but I hear it's way cool. Google "Memphis in May" and I'm sure that'll get you the scoop.
Have a great time!

The best bbq place in town is the Rendezvous. Downtown. Ask anybody who lives anywhere around Memphis, they'll agree. Best hotel: the Peabody. Anything else, go to: www.citysearch.com and click on Memphis.
p.s. May is a BIG month in Memphis!!!! BIG!
