If Buffett doesn't play Alpine he might as well cancel the entire tour. LOL...I'm guessing July 9th...

July 9 would be nice, I've heard that one floating around...
Any new info making it look like that's the date??

Well, I've heard he'll be in Pitt on June 25th and Foxboro the weekend of July 2nd. it would make sense to end the tour at Alpine on the 9th.

He'll then pick up the tour in late August, I've also heard July 30th, but that date makes no sense logistically. I'm gonna go with the 9th.

makes sense, plus I can't see him playing July 30 and then Chi-town a month later, they usually try and space them out somewhat. Guess we're just gonna have to waitl til the Wrigley confirmation is made to know for sure!

I can now pull the gun away from my head. I am still hoping for July 30th, but it is not looking good. The saturday after the 4th of July looks much more likely. Have to keep waiting!!!!!!

The past few years Jimmy has followed the DMB at Alpine within a week or 2. Last year they played the weekend before and I believe in 2003 they played 2 weeks before. I am still abnking n 7-30-05. Dino where are you. It will not matter when Jimmy plays Wrigley. It is 2 shows so the logistics do not matter. The second show is all profit as the gear is already set up. Only need to set up and tear down once for 2 shows means all gravy in the bank.

My 2 Cents

Jimmy is not gonna hit the road for just two shows, no way. I'd be shocked if it were July 30th.

I bet July 30th is the last stop for the summer until her resumes it back up in the 2nd or 3rd week of August. Last year was the last show at Alpine for the first leg on 7/10 and then was resumed on 8/26. 6 1/2 weeks between shows. I bet it happens.

In the Alpine thread, Brian, an Alpine Valley security employee has notified us that July 30 is NOT a date they are still holding for JB... so don't count on the 30th.

He said they are holding 1 date in June, 2 dates in July and 1 in September. Other than these leads, there is no other legitimate info to base realistic speculation on an Alpine concert date. With the many variations to concert days and venues this year, JB's management probably isn't following a lot of the trends of previous years... so therefore, it's purely anyone's guess as to which date they will choose.

And the rumored Indy dates are 7/26 and 7/28- he's played Alpine the weekend after Indy for a few years.

Um... you go right ahead and do that... Brian's got better insight into the concert schedule at Alpine than just about anyone outside JB's management.

I still think that everything depends on Wrigley. If by some chance Wrigley falls through, then that opens the schedule up Labor Day weekend to possibly play someplace else, and I'd bet they would have to find new dates to do Tinley instead. My guess is that they have 2 scenarios, one if Wrigley happens, one if it doesn't...
