Merriwether. I know, not exactly beautiful. But it will always be for me. Nothing like having this in your backyard growing up. If you don't want to shell out for a ticket, you can still listen in.

Of course if we're talking about Buffett here, the ideal place I'd love to see him would be somewhere like this. Although I'm not sure all the Reefers could fit on that tiny little island...

Santa Barbara Bowl. Not enough can be said about the town of Santa Barbara itself. Saw Jack Johnson and Ben Harper there a couple of years back. Beautiful. Thats the Pacific on the right. I think some other big name will be making a stop there soon.

Now looking at this picture this is from that show, I remember the stage. Well kind of.

Had a chance to see the Grateful Dead there in '79 but was unable to make it. Dammit. Hope to be able to take in the sights someday.
I've seen man, many, many concerts there. It's AMAZING. Also had my high-school graduation there. Prolly made out in the parking lot more there than anywhere else all through school.
I grew up not 5 minutes from there! It's one of my favorite places to be in the whole world!
Ahhhhhh..... a fabulous place. 8) 8) 8) Love going there.

Picture from 1952 when it opened. . .

There is an underwater tunnel - which is the only passage on or off the stage. Very cool place to see a show.
