I highly recommend going to the Phlocking- it's a blast! There's tons of good bands, and the host hotel/bar has recently been completely renovated.

Plus, Put-in-Bay is a beautiful place.

Quick question-

Has anyone who ordered "regular" tickets (i.e. not pre-sale) gotten them?

I ordered 2 cheap seats the day they went on sale, but still haven't recieved them. Are they sending them out closer to the show date?

Just a little paranoid since the pre-sale folks seemed to get theirs in about a week or so...

Got my tickets from the sale to the public quite some time ago...I understand your paranoia!

Argh, Phlocking of the Phaithful weekend is already booked :cry: (better rephrase that...booked on my calendar, the Phlocking is not booked up :lol: )

I think Mr. B found this first;
http://www.eventparking.com/alco.html

Regular parking is $30 and $120 for RV's.
VIP Parking is $100 and has to be reserved in advance.

The way I see it our options are;
1. Skip setting up a tailgate and go to the bars instead.
2. Tailgate somewhere else and then start seeking transportation to town (PNC) :pirate:
3. Show up at the same lot at the same time and try to get spots together.
4. Give someone money in advance and have them try to hold spots with cash in hand. *

* I'm not sure if this option will work. I've tried calling the numbers on the website, and all of them go to a fast busy. I sent an email to customerservice@alcoparking.com and I'll let you know if I get a response.

I'm leaning toward #1 not setting up a tailgate, just taking the boat from Station Square. We'll probably leave a couple of hours before the concert to check out the tailgating setups.

What does everyone else want to do?

1. I like this idea best

2. I have no idea where else we would tailgate since I don't know Pittsburgh.

3. Gonna be tough to pull off

4. Connie sent an e-mail to everyone about this...may be hard to do since parking officials may "force" people into spots versus giving you free reign in the parking lot.

My only other thought...if someone is planning a large tailgate set-up using one vehicle or an RV, everyone make a donation - in advance - to help defray parking fees and we could all meet up at this location.

Here is the reply I got back from the folks at Alco Parking.
Sounds like Option #4 is definitely out.
Customer Service wrote: If you go to our website, www.alcoparking.com and click on Stadium parking, you can view a map of all the North Shore Lots. All these lots together total less than 5,000 spaces. A sold-out concert at PNC Park has 40,000 fans. So, in the interest of accomodating as many fans as possible, we limit parking spaces to parking cars. When you arrive at the lot, you will only be permitted to purchase a space for your vehicle. You will not be permitted to purchase or save additional parking spaces.

According to the Pittsburgh Club, Station Square is having an all-day party the day of the concert with the Clipper Fleet running shuttles to PNC. I'm really glad we booked our room there now!

That sounds awesome. I think I may book a room there but what hotel is it? I seem to have trouble finding out what the hotel is at station square
