I found this on CC.com . It says TBA. Could it be Jimmy? I was noticing the ticket prices and noted that these are similair to the prices being charged in Philly and Pittsburg. I am not familiar with the venue. Is it a possibility?

Yeah I doubt it too, its a very small venue and not tailgating oriented at all. As long as can remember JB has always played at Hi Fi Buys, formerly Lakewood Amp. every summer.

I agree that it probably isn't, but he did play there in 1986 - I think it was the Floridays tour. Just looked it up, Chastain seats about 6000, Lakewood maybe 17k I'd guess, but who knows.

Chastain's an awesome place to see a show, sorta like a miniature Hollywood Bowl. It's kind of surrounded by homes, residential streets so that really hampers the tailgating, but for most shows you can bring just about anything you can imagine inside, coolers, baskets, blenders, beer, wine, food, tv trays, tablecloths, candles, ... There have been a few shows where you can't do that though. Wonder which way they'd go if it really was Jimmy.

I'd actually be pretty happy if it was Chastain. Its a lot closer to my house than the Ghetto, I mean Lakewood Amphitheater.

Jimmy played at Chastain a couple of times in the mid 1980s. Sleepless Knights (Last Mango in Paris) tour in 1985 and Floridays in 1986 were those as best I remember. Did 2 or 3 shows in a row in order to accomodate all of the folks.

Jimmy made some comments about one of the Chastain shows when he saw some drunk fans in the audience fighting. Something about a fan taking a beer bottle to the head?

If Jimmy did play Chastain to only 6,000 seats, then ticket prices are going to skyrocket & the only ones to benefit are the scaplers and Atlanta city council/Fulton county commissioner/dignataries are going to rake in the bucks from sales to true Parrottheads. We could easily sell out 5 shows at Chastain over a 1 week period if tix were reasonable.

C'mon, somebody at HK management line Jimmy up to play the FOX Theatre one last time.
