Neal classifies himself as a Libertarian and I like listening to him at times, but he's a bit too anxious to go to war for most libertarians.

"It" was the USS COLE. Seventeen United States Navy sailors died that day. I saw pictures of the crime scene before anything was removed, including bodies. I don't ever want to see anything like that again. I met several of the crew at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day 2000; it was a sobering experience.

Thanks for saying so. I guess it was just the wording. "The Navy ship that was bombed" or something like that probably wouldn't have bothered me. But I'm the first to admit that this is a very touchy subject for me. I went to school with the ship's Commanding Officer. Those were my Navy shipmates who were killed. Close friends of mine had to work the crime scene, and it was a life-altering experience for them. So while wanting to give you the benefit of the doubt, I also want people to remember the ship's name, and remember the sacrifices of those aboard.
