I went to this website called FindYourspot.com. You take a quiz and it tells you what cities and towns fit what you like. One of them was Corpus Christi. After looking more into it, it looks like a great place to live. Doe anyone have any comments about this city? What do you think about it? I work in Accounting and Finance and my girlfriend is a dental hygenist, would we be able to find work? Is it a good area to raise kids? Any insight you can give is much appreciated.

The top picks for me were...

Sarasota, FL

Miami Beach, FL

Charleston, SC

Brownsville, TX

McAllen, TX

Biloxi-Gulfport, MS

I'd actually probably consider Sarasota or Charleston.

As I recall, I remember Corpus (at least the gulf part) as being the prettiest city I had ever seen. But then again I was 12 at the time

When I was there I was there supervising unloading kitchen equipment for one of those damn casinos. And I'm also one of those people that think the casino lights are pretty.

Thats cool, they have a brand new stadium now, right by the river. I have been to a few games, always a fun thing to do.

Corpus Christi is a pretty good place to live. I'm sure there are lots of job opportunities for an accountant. There actually is a school for dental hygienist there. They have a university.

It's just a short drive to Port Aransas and to the Gulf.

There are lots of tourist attractions including a fantastic aquarium. They have a nice convention center and an old Battleship the Lexington. There is a wonderful Botanical Garden. Gardening in the area is great for tropicals.

There's great fising in the area and sailing. The waterfront has L-heads and T-heads lined with interesting boats and places.

The music scene is pretty good...There is an area called Water Street parallel to Shoreline and Ocean Drive. The Executive Surf Club has had some good folks like Robert Earl Keen, who sings a song called Corpus Christi Bay. You might find Texas artists like Jerry Jeff Walker, Pat Green, Lyle Lovett. They even have a small amphitheater called Concrete Street. Willie has even played there.

There is a Blues club called Dr Rockets.

It was the home of Selena.

There are lots of great dining places...Mexican, seafood...and yes, even Mexican Seafood. :) (Actually, Veracruz style seafood.)

Rockport is a great little town nearby. My dad worked in Corpus and actually lived in Rockport...didn't want the kids growing up in a big town.

They used to have a parrothead club, but I haven't heard much about it lately.
