I understand your sentiment JohnsonA.

We decide that the stadium just didn't fit our style. Our group includes three families with a total of nine kids. We always staked out a piece of the lawn and the kids played and danced while the parents would take in the music and socialize. I personally have been a lawn person since my first show in 1988. A few years we were able to get pavilion seats, but we have always had more fun on the lawn, except when it rains! :(

Anyway, we also realized we would be split up into two groups because we would have to place two orders w/ the 8 tix limit per order. This is one issue you don’t have to deal with when your on the lawn.

No complaining here though, maybe a little disappointment, but Jimmy has definitely given us plenty of years of great memories.

I guess some feel that if you don't go no matter where Jimmy is performing you are labeled ungrateful.

I too never meant this to be a "boycott" of the stadium tour....just that for the group that we go with my husband and I think that the best way to see Buffett is not in the stadium...and this year if that is how the concerts are, we will have to miss him this year...I hope all the rest get all the great tickets and have a wonderful time..it is about time that the "true" PH's get the tickets and not the scalpers :D

The rumor I have here is that Jimmy will be playing at Nissan on June 15th!!!

Genetic problem

It must run in the family. I asked my daughter if she was getting Pittsburgh tickets. She said not if he's in a stadium.

That wasn't from my influence and she's not boycotting anything either.

June 15th is a Wednesday. That would sure be different. I guess it's better then nothing, or going to RFK, FedEx Field, Camden Yards, or Ravens Stadium.

Sorry Phrank, I can only partially agree, the only option Nissan on a Wednesday is better than is nothing at all.

If Nissan IS on a Wednesday, I guess we'll have to listen to it on RM :(

With the rumors now saying that Jimmy is not playing Gillette Stadium on the 4th, could that mean he is coming back to Nissan for that weekend. 7/2 looks open, and he has done that the last 2 years.

If Nissan is on June 15 (wednesday), Better than no Nissan. Maybe tickets will be easier to get with everyone going to Philly and Pitt. And being on a Wednesday. Will just have to make it a long weekend

Don't count on it. It will still be the only show in the Washington Baltimore area. Jimmy was here on a Thursday only (I think) a couple of years ago, and the ticket situation was the same.

I remember all the complaining that went on last year about the Fenway shows. Many people said the same things: not going because of it being a stadium, bad acoustics, tailgate not the same, and so on. But I also remember many pholks saying how great the party was. I'm hoping for a summer show in Atlanta at any venue.
