any news on the ticket sale for Mohegan . . . ? ?
haven't heard a thing yet.i'm guessing maybe next week. with all the shows going on sale 3/19.my connection didn't come through.since she got divorsed from her ex. she doesn't get the info or tickets anymore.trying another angle through a friend of a friends boyfriend.i think tickets will be easy to come by. 1 reason is thr prices the 2nd reason is no tailgating and the 3rd is GW is 2 days after.the problem with the good seats is they have what they call the golden circle. where you pay a fee( something like 250.00 per seat) up front for seats at various venues and you are able to get tickets before they go on sale. for a ticket agent they can by 100's of seats up. buy tickets for every show sell them and make there money back.

After waiting so long for a GW show, fighting for tickets, and spending all that money, why on earth would you leave before the show was over? To each their own, but I'd much rather take the next day off (vacation or sick day), or just s*ck it up and go in tired...
I can see both points of view. If you havent been to Great Woods than you have no idea how bad it is to get out of there after a show. I have been in the lot till 1:30 AM before even moving after the show got over at 11. And with Buffett its even worse because people dont park in their lanes they put their cars in circles and all sorts of different configurations that make it even more difficult to get out

Missing 3 songs is no big deal and some people we are going with are taking the day off but not the next. Not everyone has a ton of vacation days. I can work when ever I want but not everyone can. You just like picking on me Frank dont ya?

I had a friend of mine e-mail her contact at the Mohegan Sun, the show is a definite for the 17th of June, but he said they hadn't decided on ticket prices as of yet, hopefully they will be a little more reasonable than $150-200.........I found this out just a little while ago.

Anyone have an idea on what the ticket limit will be? I wonder if it'll be 8 or 4?

Well, everybody needs a hobby, right?

Like I said, to each their own...I just dont' get it.

And Mex - GW doesn't hold the exclusive rights to horrible parking lots. Come to Nissan once...same thing. Hell, no sense in even stopping drinking 'til at least midnite :D

I would venture a guess that all scools in Massachusetts will still be in school that day. Where I live the kiddos don't get out until the 29th.

Rednekk-I dont doubt it, it seems like when they built these arenas the one thing the didnt do for any of them was a figure out a way for people to get out. I am not saying I would leave before an encore(because I wouldnt) I just understand why someone would. One exception I noticed to parking lot traffic jams was Jones Beach. I didnt wait one second to get out of there, the place was a dream to get in and out of.

I don't mind the wait. We usually break out the grill and coolers and a few chairs and just chill out until the traffic clears. Hell, I can think of much worse places to be stuck.

I am hoping to go to more than one even if one is Mohegan. I have friends who can stay but our main bunch we go with has to work the next day. I usually dont like to miss encore's but if it means my best friends will go if we leave early I dont mind. I saw Jimmy 4 times last year including up close at Key West so this year leaving early is ok with me. Except is'nt Uncle Johns Band been one of the encores? That does stink I've never heard that one live before. Oh well.

I've only left one show early and that was last year at San Diego.. :x  AND boy was I p***!!!!!! Took my best friend to her first show.. :D needless to say she didn't know how to pace herself.. :-? We had lawn seats (bad decision after the monsoon they had the day before).. She decides to use the restroom (up at the top of the hill) during the first song and then can't find her way back... I end up going to get her and walking her very slowly back to our area.. WELL the next thing I know she slips and brings me down with her I end up flat on my back, a beer and a half on the ground   and her laying on top of me.. she was laughing so hard she couldn't get up and off of me (of course b/c she was dry)... I turned into a human sponge and was soaked and covered in mud the rest of the night (thanks Ragtopw for keeping me warm and holding Nikki up!)... Right before the encore I could tell I was losing Nikki and had no choice but to leave and get her into the car before she passed out... Till this day I can laugh about the night but I'm still T'd I missed the encore.. (At least I had Vegas to look forward too a few nights later!) :D :D

I just got in to my room from a full day of St Patty's Day drinkin and I just started getting nervous about not being able to get tickets... this sucks... I want to be able to just get tickets without all this damn hassle :-?

EDIT: I just did a search for Filene's... has anyone ever tried to get tickets at the Westgate Mall in Brockton... it is 2 minutes from my school and I am curious about how busy that location is...

Dont' stress! If you're not able to get tickets the day of the sale check back in the ticket exchange.. Most people here who get extra's will sell them to you for face value.. Also, one other thing to note.. People will be selling them left and right in the lot.. so go and have a good time in the lot! :D :D Good luck!

How sure are we about this Mohegan Sun show?

I don't know how you can leave before a show is over. Although we almost always know what the encore will be, I'd shoot myself if I missed something like "Death of an Unpopular Poet." Heck I often stay just to watch the video of Jimmy telling everyone to get home safely.
